Today is our first work day!  We look forward to posting photos and sharing more about our day sometime tonight!  Be sure to check back each day for the updates!

Sunday, June 27

Today was a wonderful day of Worship and Fellowship!  We enjoyed morning and evening worship led by Pastor Mark Stewart along with a pot-luck lunch with the members of the church.  What a blessing to be able to get to know the various members of the church and for them to get to know our team!

We also enjoyed a game of "spoons" as well as basketball outside in the parking lot.  We even played a game of soccer with Pastor Stewart!  What a great way for everyone to get to know each other better.

We cooled off at the Van Wingerden's pool and were captivated by stories of life in Africa from Henry.

We ended the day with prayer groups before heading to bed.

Tomorrow is a big day of work and we covet your prayers for safety and God's blessings upon our labors!

"I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you may have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ." Philemon 1:6

Stay tuned for a brief update and new photos each night!  You will need Flash Player to download the photos.  Or you can go to the Photos section of our website.

TASC in Newton has begun!  The group of 11 TASCers come from Pompton Plains Reformed Bible Church in NJ, West Sayville Reformed Bible Church on Long Island, NY, Covenant Reformed Church in Carbondale, PA, Newton Covenant Reformed in NJ, and one from West Africa!

The group met up at Newton Covenant Reformed and quickly got to know one another by playing Apples to Apples.  We enjoyed Pizza for dinner (with plenty of leftovers!) and a time of orientation.  Each of the group shared why they are on TASC and what they hope to get out of their week.  TASCers also had the opportunity to share what they hoped to give to the group and to the goal of TASC.  The night of sharing enthusiasm, hopes, and expectations was concluded with a time of communal prayer.

The Lord is already working in the hearts and lives of our young people on TASC.  Continue praying for each one of them as they grow in their love for the Lord and for one another.
